Thank you so much for your interest in my work! It’s an incredible honor to create something that is completely unique to you, the way you envision it.
Below are details about what you need to know about the process. If you have any questions that are not covered here, please email me.
Commission Information
Exclusivity
The works that are commissioned by my patrons are exclusively painted for their collections and are truly unique—one of a kind. They will not be offered in the shop, nor as a print. The artwork is solely yours!
As the collector of this one of a kind work, you own the rights to display the work where ever you wish (at home or in your office), while I relinquish the right to reproduce the work as a print.
That being said, please feel free to share the work on social media. You’ll likely find it in my portfolio or in my social media feed as well! I want you to adore your work for years to come.
Details
Each painting is created with the highest grade oil paints on artist-grade gessoed board, canvas paper, or fine gallery wrapped stretched cotton canvas.
- Before beginning your commission, I would like to schedule time with you to get to know what your vision is (think of it as a virtual coffee date!). This will help me to understand what it is you are looking for in my work. We won’t worry about the colors I’ll use or the nitty-gritty details such as how the background will be situated, but we can discuss poses, general atmosphere, expressions, and the like. During this time, I’ll take the time to sketch and take notes in the background while we’re chatting so that I have something to refer to when I am back in my studio later.
- From here, we’ll finalize the details. This includes virtually signing the paper work, deciding on the size of the canvas, and putting a down-payment on the work. Once the details are squared away and I’m given a green-light, I will get to work!
- You’ll see this piece evolve through the process from the conception of the sketch, to beginning stages of the painting and in-between, until we get to the end where I finalize the detail work—all the while, asking for your input along the way.
At any time during the process of the work, please let me know if there are any changes that you would like for me to make and I will gladly make them.
